Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian that has been in the business for quite a while. Her birthplace was in Kildare Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She has appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea, is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea's acting career started in the year 2011, as a stand-up comedian, after appearing in small roles for Irish and British television shows beginning in 2009. In 2012, she began performing in sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms and similar programming. After her victory during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel programs. In 2016 and 2017 she served as a team leader on 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012 she was the second woman ever to receive the So You Think You Are Funny award. The surname of Bea is in honor of her late father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was a veterinarian who worked with horses who died by suicide when she was just three years old. She didn't discover the reason for her father's death until she was 13 years old. She adopted the stage name Bea as a tribute to her father. She also wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea was raised with her older sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer and former professional racer. Her family were passionate about horses and races. Bea was initially tourist guides at the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her true passion was doing and not racing.
